AN OUTWARD EXPRESSION
OF AN INWARD DECISION
WATER BAPTISM
"I have decided to follow Jesus."
WAREHOUSE CHURCH
Water Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow and trust Jesus. Jesus was water baptized; therefore, Christians take this step to follow His example and to identify with His death, burial, and resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

Frequently Asked Questions
WHY BE BAPTIZED?
Baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has chosen to follow Jesus. It is a way to publicly declare your faith and identify with Him.
Jesus Himself was baptized, setting an example for us to follow.
“As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.’”
— Matthew 3:16–17
Jesus also commanded His followers to baptize others as they made disciples.
“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.’”
— Matthew 28:18–20
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BAPTISM?
Water baptism is a public declaration of three important things:
You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
“Those who accepted his message were baptized.” — Acts 2:41
You are beginning a new life in Christ.
“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death… that we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4
You are part of the family of God.
“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith… for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” — Galatians 3:26–27
WHEN SHOULD I BE BAPTIZED?
The Bible shows that people were baptized after they made the personal decision to follow Jesus. If you have decided to trust Christ and begin a relationship with Him, baptism is your next step.
I HAVE ALREADY BEEN BAPTIZED. SHOULD BE BAPTIZED AGAIN?
If you were baptized after making a personal decision to follow Jesus, there is no need to be baptized again.
However, some people choose to be baptized again if their first baptism happened before they truly understood faith in Christ or before they made that personal commitment.
CAN MY CHILD BE BAPTIZED?
We baptize children ages 6 and up who understand what baptism represents and want to make their own public declaration of faith.
We encourage parents to partner with our House Kids and Warehouse Youth ministries to help guide their children through this important decision.
CAN MY INFANT BE BAPTIZED?
In the New Testament, baptism is a public expression of faith for those who have personally chosen to follow Jesus.
The Bible shows that Jesus’ parents dedicated Him to the Lord as a child (Luke 2:22–40), and He was later baptized as an adult (Matthew 3:16–17).
Because of this, we practice believer’s baptism, which happens after someone personally decides to follow Christ.
At Warehouse Church, we offer both child dedication and believer’s baptism. Child dedication allows parents to commit to raising their child in faith until they are old enough to make their own decision to follow Jesus.
